New Made Item: Prior to 1916, all WWI German leather equipment was issued in a mid brown colour. However, by general order in 1916 from the Imperial High Command, all new-made equipment was to be issued in black thereafter. Old inventories were also ordered recoloured to the new standard. As this was the height of WWI, many contractors ignored the new specification, this explains why so much equipment is black on the front and brown on the rear. Our new made WWI era 4" Luger P-08 holsters are ideal for all WWI dated Lugers and have the same high quality as our black WWII holsters.
